Water Softeners

Hard water is quietly wearing out your appliances, drying out your skin, and leaving spots on everything it touches. A properly sized softener fixes that.

The Problem

Is Your Water Hard? Here's How to Tell.

How It Works

Ion Exchange, Explained Simply

A softener runs hard water through a tank of resin beads. The beads swap out calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions, so the water leaving your softener is soft. Periodically, the system flushes the resin with brine from the second tank to recharge it — fully automatic, no maintenance required beyond keeping the brine tank stocked with salt.

FAQ

Common Water Softener Questions

Is softened water safe to drink?

Yes. Softening simply exchanges hardness minerals for a small amount of sodium. Most households drink softened water without any issue.

How much maintenance does a softener need?

Mostly just keeping the brine tank filled with salt. We also offer salt delivery and can set up ongoing maintenance visits if you'd rather not think about it.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, ask us about financing options when you get your quote so you can spread out the cost of a new system.

Do you work on well water systems?

Yes. Well water often needs both softening and filtration — we test for both during your free water test.
